Why Serve the Tracker From Your Own Domain
By default the tracking script loads from app.eurometrics.eu. Some ad-blockers and browser privacy lists block requests to third-party analytics domains, which means you lose data. Serving the same script from your own subdomain (for example, analytics.yoursite.ru) makes it a first-party request and significantly improves data accuracy.
Where to Set It Up
Open Website Settings → First-party domain for the website you want to configure.
Step 1: Choose a Subdomain
Pick a subdomain on your own site, such as analytics.yoursite.ru or stats.yoursite.ru. Enter it in the field and click Enable tracking via custom domain.
Step 2: Add the CNAME Record
At your DNS provider, create a CNAME record pointing your chosen subdomain to app.eurometrics.eu:
analytics.yoursite.ru → CNAME → app.eurometrics.euEuroMetrics then waits for DNS to propagate. This can take from a few minutes up to a few hours depending on your provider.
Step 3: Automatic SSL
Once DNS is confirmed, EuroMetrics issues an SSL certificate for your subdomain automatically. No action is needed from you.
Step 4: Use the New Tracking Code
When the status shows Active, copy the updated tracking snippet, which now loads from your own domain:
<script defer src="https://analytics.yoursite.ru/script.js"
data-website-id="YOUR_WEBSITE_ID"></script>Replace the old snippet on your site with this one. Your existing data is unaffected — only the script source changes.
Removing It
You can click Remove custom domain at any time to revert to the default app.eurometrics.eu source. Remember to switch the snippet back if you do.
